Organisers of the popular ‘Eastern Bridal Fair’, has announced the Sunday Times as the new title sponsor for this year’s glittering 10th anniversary event. The ‘Eastern Bridal Fair’ is already a fixture on Durban’s social and events’ calendar and promoters are promising a bumper event from 31 July to 2 August, to celebrate the auspicious anniversary.

This year’s biggest draw-card, is the Vikram Phadnis range of bridal and designer wear. Phadnis is one of India’s leading designers and is world-renowned for his famous client list which include Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai, John Abrahams, Salman Khan, Priyanka Chopra, Sushmita Sen, Bipasha Basu & Akshay Kumar. All the shows will be accompanied by dancers and choreography by Shiamak Davar’s Dance Institute. Also taking part are Zee TV stars Vishaka and Dev from the TV series, "Choti Bahu" and a host of glamorous models and dancers.

Festivities kick-off on a high note on 30 July at the Durban Exhibition Centre, with the exclusive “Evening with Vikram Phadnis”. Tickets for this glitzy, high profile banquet event are R600 per person or R6000 per table of 10 people, which includes a sumptuous meal and entertainment.

The show opens to the public on Friday at 19:00 with fashion shows at 19:00 and 21:00. Opening hours for Saturday and Sunday are 10:00-22:00 with shows on Saturday at 12:00, 15:00, 18:00 and 20:00, and Sunday at 12:00, 15:00 and 18:00. Entry is R50 per person which includes a copy of the high-quality Eastern Bride Magazine and access to the shows. Tickets are available at the door.
