1. The traditional saree is a very common dress for Indian brides, from north to south, east to west. The saree is the traditional wear for marriages. It is most commonly worn in red and dark maroon colors.

2. The lehenga or long skirt with a top and stole is another popular dress among the new generation. It can be worn in any bright color.

3. The Salwar Kurta is another dress popular in northern India, specially in the state of Punjab. It can be worn in any colour except white.

4. The 9-yard Saree is a saree worn in South India during marriages. It is just longer then the usual saree length.

5. The Ghagra Choli is a another famous dress for getting married in. It is a long skirt with a very short top and stole. It can be worn in any bright color.

6. The white gown is worn by Christian brides, mainly in southern India and Goa.

7. Lacha Kameez is another variation of the salwar kameez. It is worn with a long top and with a wrapped skirt underneath.

8. Sherara is a muslim wedding dress with a top and bell bottoms type pants. It is mainly worn in green color.

9. Another dress worn in the Western part of India is Gujarati saree, which is usually white with a red border and is draped in front.

10. The modern lehenga is another beautiful dress to wear. It is a short top with a straight fitting skirt. If you have a good figure then this one is for you.

    I was really disappointed that Memsaab was not at the fair. The outfits lacked class, there was no stand that stood out. Get them back. It looked like a india trade fair. only Paneri junk, avtar, sabah, even vikram phadnis range was from few years back.
    but the show was good.
