Vikram Phadnis started his career as a choreographer before rising to fame as a fashion designer. His journey has been an inspiration to all those who want to make it big in the fashion industry.

Determined not be a perennial struggler on the fringes of the glamour world, he has emerged as one of India’s leading designers. This was a daunting task for he had no formal training in fashion design.

His creations currently adorn the wardrobes of some of the biggest names in the glamour industry. Retailing from his store in Mumbai, the label stocks high-end Indian and western wear for both men and women. The designs are also available in stores in Johannesburg, Durban Chicago, New York, Dubai, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait as well as Delhi, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Pune in India.

He is now a veteran on the fashion circuit with some of the finest fashion shows to his credit. He has always endeavoured to achieve the synthesis of popular and avant-garde preferences. This has been his unique selling point, be it bridal wear, prêt-a-porter or couture wear. In the words of the designer himself, “it gives me immense pleasure that everyone from a beauty queen to a girl next door adorns my creations and looks truly captivating.

Through his uniqueness in versatility Vikram is truly a fashion designer of the masses. He has reached the pinnacle of success in the fashion and film industry with over 17 years of experience, all laden with wonderful memories.

The zenith of his true potential has yet to be achieved and Vikram still has so much to offer. He has truly carved a niche for himself in the corridors of the fashion world. Yet he remains a very hands-on designer at work and an engaging human being with a humble personality. His ebullient creations with an earthy dose of panache are a testament to that.

Some of the celebrities who have adorned his creations are Salman Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai, John Abraham, Priyanka Chopra, Vidya Balan, Sushmita Sen, Akshay Kumar, Bipasha Basu, Zayed Khan, Ayesha Takia, Juhi Chawla, Akshaye Khanna, Anil Kapoor, Arbaaz Khan, Malaika Arora, Amrita Arora, Karishma Kapoor… just to name a few.

He is one of the rare designers with the distinction of working with some of the biggest names within the hallowed echelons of the fashion industry and Indian cinema.

Vikram has been honoured with many awards such as the Best Designer IIFA award, the Young Achievers Award by the government of Maharashtra and The GIFA Award for best costume designer. He was felicitated by Frederick Constant to acknowledge his tremendous endeavours in the industry.
